A sign, which simply read “Michael’s”, distinguished the new salon in Clarkson Village. The year was 1959. Michael’s had just opened its doors to provide a prosperous community with hair and beauty services. This remarkable relationship between a salon and its community has withstood the test of time for 50 years. Michael's commitment to service, quality and beauty is a success factor and the vision behind the salon's growth. Over the years Michael’s has expanded our retail space and grown as a business in delivering all aspects of hair and beauty care - technique, product lines, size, staff and ownership, adding a full range of spa services to its service roster in 2007. Michael’s proprietor is Lina Morra-Lomangino. Under Lina’s experienced leadership she ensures that her talented team of 20 staff, consistently deliver the high standards she sets for quality while maintaining a relaxed, comfortable and professional ambience for Michael's clientele. One of our top priorities at Michael’s is education. Educational classes are held weekly in the salon. Michael's employees regularly update knowledge of the ever-changing world of fashion and beauty, attending seminars in venues around the world. Michael’s has succeeded in maintaining and guaranteeing the highest standard of quality, growing the business and sustaining its customer loyalty, exemplified in delivering outstanding hair and beauty services that our staff truly embrace and share with our clients and community.
